American Brian Jagde is quickly emerging as one of the top new lyric tenors to watch.

This season, Mr. Jagde appears as Cavaradossi in Tosca at  both the San Francisco Opera and the Deutche Oper Berlin and makes his role debut as the title role in Les Contes d’Hoffmann  at the NCPA in Beijing. He also appears as Rodolfo in concert performances of La bohéme with Lorin Maazel and the Münchner Philharmoniker.

Now in his third year as an Adler Fellow at the San Francisco Opera, Mr. Jagde’s  mainstage appearances have included Joe in La Fanciulla del West, Janek in The Makropulos Case and Vitellozzo in Lucrezia Borgia.
