35-City Tour Extends from Ft. Lauderdale to Ottawa

After a relaxing holiday break, the Vienna Boys Choir continues its extensive North American tour in 2019. The boys will visit primarily the midwest and southern regions of the U.S.,  performing in 32 cities in the U.S. and 3 in Ontario, Canada (See tour dates below). Their program features a typically broad range of repertoire including sacred, secular, folk and popular titles with a focus on the great Viennese musical traditions, and a nod to North American audiences as well. Their Fall tour was received enthusiastically by audiences and critics alike, selling out Carnegie Hall and other venues, and capturing reviews like this one from the Colorado Springs Gazette: "Their lyricism, diction, and highly refined voices, trained and honed to dizzying standards, soared and sparkled throughout the evening...the world-famous Vienna Boys' Choir delivered their musical message of peace: music unites; it does not divide..."

The VBC performs music from all over the world and has for years commissioned new music as well. The Choir has appeared many times on screen and is featured in four films by Curt Faudon, including Songs for Mary, Silk Road and Bridging the Gap. In the realm of audio recording, the Choir has been active since 1907, appearing on practically every major label. In 2015, the choir signed a long-term partnership with Deutsche Grammophon. Their first joint project was a hugely successful Christmas CD, Merry Christmas from Vienna. Their most recent recording, Strauss For Ever, was released in the Fall of 2018.
