Bramwell Tovey

Opus 3 Artists is pleased to announce Bramwell Tovey has joined our esteemed roster of conductors. Called "warmly communicative" by the Los Angeles Times, Mr. Tovey is known for both his artistic depth and charismatic personality on the podium. His career as a conductor is uniquely enhanced by his work as both a composer and a pianist, lending a remarkable musical perspective to his expertise in operatic, choral, British and contemporary repertoire.

Mr. Tovey is currently entering his tenth season as Music Director of the Vancouver Symphony and continues his tenure as Principal Guest Conductor of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. The "irrepressible British wit" (LA Times) is the founding conductor of the New York Philharmonic Summertime Classics series and continues to be in demand as a guest conductor throughout the globe. Mr. Tovey is also an accomplished jazz pianist and has received both GRAMMY and Juno awards for his recordings with the Vancouver Symphony. He is the first artist to win a Juno Award in both conducting and composing.
