The New York-based opera singer is nothing if not determined. "I spent every weekend in college traveling to voice lessons, and I was always in bed by 11 when everyone else was out partying." says the 30-year-old Princeton grad, who began singing professionally at age 11 and has starred in roles everywhere from New York's Metropolitan Opera to a Merchant Ivory film. "I didn't have my first drink until I was 27, which was probably overkill, but it never felt like a huge sacrifice. Your body is your instrument." The devotion to his craft has served him well: This spring he returns to the Met for Handel's Giulio Cesare before performing in Pergolesi's Stabat Mater at the Glimmerglass Festival in July.

Costanzo wears Balenciaga.
