MUMMENSCHANZ Announces North American Farewell Tour
After 55 years of redefining international theater, the legendary Swiss troupe MUMMENSCHANZ is bidding farewell to the stage with its final production, Adieu!. To commemorate this momentous occasion, the company recently received the prestigious Grand Culture Prize from the St. Gallen Cultural Foundation in Switzerland.
Adieu! marks the culmination of an extraordinary journey with a program of greatest hits and highlights from the past 55 years—including the fragile, air-filled Giants, the legendary Pipe Creature, and many other bizarre shapes and iconic objects brought to life by five performers. The program will also feature several new and surprising scenes alongside the distinctive characters that have long defined the MUMMENSCHANZ universe.
Now booking for 2028, Adieu! is a 90-minute journey through the imagination that requires no translation and delights audiences of all ages—transporting them into a boundless yet familiar world of comedy, poetry, tenderness, and magic.
