Famed Finnish Soprano Karita Mattila Joins Opus 3 for Worldwide General Management
We are thrilled to announce that internationally celebrated soprano Karita Mattila has joined the roster for worldwide general management. She will be represented by Senior Vice President Nathan Wentworth.
Renowned for her electrifying stage presence, vocal brilliance, and fearless artistic choices, Mattila continues to be a defining force in opera. A singular performer of exceptional dramatic and vocal range, she has made indelible impressions in repertoire spanning Mozart to Wagner, Strauss to Janáček, and Verdi to contemporary works.
A GRAMMY® Award winner and recipient of numerous international honors—including the Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the Pro Finlandia Medal of the Order of the Lion of Finland—Mattila has graced nearly every major opera house and festival worldwide. Her appearances include The Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Wiener Staatsoper, Bayerische Staatsoper, Opéra national de Paris, and the Salzburg Festival, among many others.
In recent seasons, she has continued to expand her artistry through acclaimed performances in both classic and contemporary repertoire, and through a bold embrace of dramatic roles that showcase the full depth of her vocal and theatrical range.
