Caleb Teicher Joins the Roster
Opus 3 Artists is thrilled to welcome Caleb Teicher to the roster for general management. A New York City–based choreographer, dancer, and director, Teicher is widely recognized as a leading creative voice in interdisciplinary collaboration. They began their career as a founding member of Michelle Dorrance’s acclaimed Dorrance Dance while also working across contemporary dance, musical theater, and swing. In 2015, they launched Caleb Teicher & Company, garnering commissions and presentations at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Jacob’s Pillow, The Music Center Los Angeles, New York City Center, The Joyce Theater, and more.
Teicher’s expansive artistic practice includes collaborations with Conrad Tao in Counterpoint, Regina Spektor, Ben Folds, AJR, and major orchestras including the National Symphony and The Philadelphia Orchestra. Their choreography has appeared on Broadway, in film and television projects, and on platforms such as NPR’s Tiny Desk, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Dance Magazine, where they were featured on the September 2019 cover. Teicher is the recipient of two Bessie Awards, the New York City Center Choreographic Fellowship, the Harkness Promise Award, and NEFA’s National Dance Project Production Grant.
In 2026-2027, we will be touring Teicher’s SW!NG OUT and A Very SW!NG OUT Holiday, the world’s leading contemporary presentation of Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz Dance. Produced by Joyce Theater Productions, the shows feature 12 electrifying swing dancers in concert with a 10-piece big band, showcasing new choreography and exhilarating improvisation from some of today’s brightest voices in swing. Its 2021 premiere at The Joyce Theater was a New York Times Critics’ Pick, launching a national sensation and leading to performances in more than 20 cities, including Los Angeles (The Music Center LA), Houston (Performing Arts Houston), and Ann Arbor (University Musical Society). Alongside initiatives such as SW!NG OUT One-to-One and the SW!NG OUT Community Fund, the production has reshaped the presence of Lindy Hop in the U.S. performing-arts landscape.
Teicher also offers Ear to the Ground, an intimate duo performance with celebrated percussive dancer Nic Gareiss. Ear to the Ground meets at the crossroads of jazz and folk, social and solo form—playfully bridging tap, swing, lindy hop, Appalachian clogging, and Irish step dance—braiding improvisation, song, and rhythm into a dynamic dialogue of sound and movement. The result is a moving, transportive performance that honors tradition while carving out a genre-defying percussive language all its own.
Other projects include Bzzz, a comedic music-theater work for tap dancers and world-champion beatboxers; and a slate of curatorial and directorial collaborations with organizations including the National YoungArts Foundation, 92NY, the Korean Cultural Center New York, and Lincoln Center. Their work will be presented in more than a dozen North American cities this season.
