Saxophonist Timothy McAllister Joins the Roster
Hailed as “one of the foremost saxophonists of his generation” by The New York Times, GRAMMY Award-winning classical saxophonist Timothy McAllister has appeared with the world’s finest orchestras and conductors across twenty-five countries. He is a longtime member of the renowned PRISM Quartet and a champion of contemporary music credited with over 300 premieres and 60 recordings by eminent composers worldwide. “A titan of contemporary music” (The Cleveland Plain Dealer), recent highlights include his acclaimed debut with the New York Philharmonic featuring John Corigliano’s saxophone concerto, Triathlon; John Adams’s Saxophone Concerto at the BBC Proms under Marin Alsop; Tyshawn Sorey’s Pulitzer Prize-winning Adagio (For Wadada Leo Smith) with the Atlanta Symphony; and the world premiere of James Lee III’s Abiding Legacy with the Nashville Symphony. His recording of Adams’s Saxophone Concerto and City Noir was honored with a GRAMMY Award.
Additional concerto premieres and upcoming recording releases include works by Jennifer Higdon, Catherine Likhuta, Nathalie Joachim, Kenneth Fuchs, Pierre Jalbert, Steven Mackey, Paul Moravec, Michael Shapiro, and Adolphus Hailstork.
Timothy McAllister will be managed by Constance Chiu and Matthew Oberstein. He was previously represented at Jonathan Wentworth Associates by Martha Woods, who is planning for retirement.
