Vienna Girls Choir Joins the Roster

Opus 3 is thrilled to introduce the Vienna Girls Choir to North America as they join the roster and embark on their first-ever US tour in April 2027. Emerging from Vienna’s long choral tradition, the Vienna Girls Choir continues the Vienna Boys Choir’s legacy of excellence with a distinct voice and vision of its own. Founded in 2004 with just a handful of singers, the ensemble has grown into a full-fledged choir of 26 girls between the ages of 10 and 14, now official students at Campus Augarten where they receive the same rigorous musical training as the Vienna Boys Choir.

The Vienna Girls Choir first captured international attention in 2023, performing alongside the Vienna Boys Choir and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra at the orchestra’s iconic New Year’s Concert conducted by Franz Welser-Möst.

Recent highlights include their first European tour in 2025, performances at the Vienna Musikverein with Academy Award-winning actress Marion Cotillard in Jeanne d’Arc au bûcher, at the Vienna Konzerthaus in Carmina Burana, and at the wien modern Festival in St. Stephen’s Cathedral. In recognition of their artistry, the Vienna Girls Choir received the Austrian Musical Theatre Prize in 2023 and, together with the Vienna Boys Choir, the European Cultural Award in 2024.

With their luminous sound and youthful energy, the Vienna Girls Choir represents both the future and the evolution of one of the world’s most storied musical traditions.
