Pianist Saehyun Kim Joins the Roster
Opus 3 is pleased to welcome 19-year-old pianist Saehyun Kim to the roster for North and South America.
Following his First Prize win at the 2025 Long-Thibaud International Piano Competition, Diapason described him as “a formidable artist” and “the definition of a great interpreter.” At Long-Thibaud he also took home the Audience Prize, Press Jury Prize and Prize of the City of Paris Conservatories, and previously won First Prize at the 2023 Cleveland International Piano Competition for Young Artists.
Since then, Saehyun has performed at leading festivals and venues including La Roque d’Anthéron, Flagey in Brussels, Festival Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, the Duszniki International Chopin Festival and the Lieven Piano Festival in Vienna, as well as with the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra and KBS Symphony Orchestra. He has also appeared in televised performances at the Arc de Triomphe for the Concert de la Paix and at the Eiffel Tower for the Concert de Paris, reaching audiences of millions.
This season he makes several important debuts, including with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, both conducted by Myung-Whun Chung, and at Suntory Hall, Philharmonie de Paris, and Lotte Concert Hall.
Saehyun studies Piano Performance at the New England Conservatory alongside English Literature at Harvard. He is an exclusive Warner Classics recording artist, and his debut solo album of works by Chopin and Fauré – released earlier this month – reached number two on Apple Music Classical. He wrote a haiku for each of Chopin’s Études to capture the images and sensations they evoked for him.
