In his second decade as Music Director of The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, Reineke has helped define the modern symphonic pops landscape. He also serves as Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the National Symphony Orchestra at the Kennedy Center, where he’s led programs including \u201cBen Folds Live” and William Shatner\u2019s \u201cSo Fragile, So Blue.\u201d Reineke is also Principal Pops Conductor of both the Houston Symphony and Toronto Symphony Orchestras and a frequent guest conductor with the Chicago, Philadelphia, and Detroit Symphony Orchestras, among others.<\/p>\n
A dynamic presence on the podium, Reineke collaborates with an extraordinary range of artists across hip-hop, R&B, Broadway, and pop\u2014from Kendrick Lamar, Nas, and Common to Jason Mraz, Sutton Foster, and Cynthia Erivo. His work has been featured on PBS\u2019 Great Performances <\/em>and Next at the Kennedy Center<\/em>, bringing symphonic music to a diverse array of audiences.<\/p>\n As a composer and arranger, his music is performed worldwide, with works regularly programmed by major orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic and Los Angeles Philharmonic, and recorded by the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra.<\/p>\n Steven Reineke brings energy, versatility, and creative connection to every program, making him one of the most sought-after voices in pops programming today.
