His ground-breaking career has been recognized with major honors including the Leonard Bernstein Award, ECHO Klassik, and Opus Klassik Awards.<\/p>\n<p>A Juilliard graduate, Carpenter has appeared at leading venues around the world including the <strong>Royal Albert Hall, Sydney Opera House, <\/strong>and<strong> Berliner Philharmonie<\/strong> and collaborated with major orchestras including the <strong>Los Angeles Philharmonic, Chicago Symphony, Boston Symphony, Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, <\/strong>and<strong> Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Carpenter\u2019s boundary-pushing work also includes <strong>live<\/strong> <strong>improvised accompaniment to classic silent films<\/strong> including 1920s epics from the terror of <em><strong>Nosferatu<\/strong><\/em> to the whimsy of <strong>Buster Keaton\u2019s <\/strong><em><strong>The General<\/strong><\/em><strong>.<\/strong> These performances create<strong> immersive cinematic experiences<\/strong> that blend improvisation, organ performance, and film.<\/p>\n<p>His recordings include the chart-topping <em>All You Need Is Bach<\/em> and his 2021 Konzerthaus Berlin album featuring Bach\u2019s <em>Goldberg Variations<\/em>.
