Opus 3 Artists is thrilled to welcome Caleb Teicher to the roster for general management. A New York City\u2013based choreographer, dancer, and director, Teicher is widely recognized as a leading creative voice in interdisciplinary collaboration. They began their career as a founding member of Michelle Dorrance\u2019s acclaimed Dorrance Dance while also working across contemporary dance, musical theater, and swing. In 2015, they launched Caleb Teicher & Company, garnering commissions and presentations at Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Jacob\u2019s Pillow, The Music Center Los Angeles, New York City Center, The Joyce Theater<\/strong>, and more.<\/p>\n Teicher\u2019s expansive artistic practice includes collaborations with Conrad Tao<\/strong><\/a> in Counterpoint<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, Regina Spektor, Ben Folds, AJR<\/strong>, and major orchestras including the National Symphony <\/strong>and The Philadelphia Orchestra<\/strong><\/a>. Their choreography has appeared on Broadway, in film and television projects, and on platforms such as NPR\u2019s Tiny Desk<\/a>, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert<\/em><\/strong>, and Dance<\/em> Magazine, where they were featured on the September 2019 cover. Teicher is the recipient of two Bessie Awards, the New York City Center Choreographic Fellowship<\/strong>, the Harkness Promise Award, and NEFA\u2019s National Dance Project Production Grant.<\/p>\n In 2026-2027, we will be touring Teicher\u2019s SW!NG OUT<\/em><\/a><\/strong> and A Very SW!NG OUT Holiday<\/em><\/strong>, the world\u2019s leading contemporary presentation of Lindy Hop and Vernacular Jazz Dance. Produced by Joyce Theater Productions, the shows feature 12 electrifying swing dancers in concert with a 10-piece big band, showcasing new choreography and exhilarating improvisation from some of today\u2019s brightest voices in swing. Its 2021 premiere at The Joyce Theater was a New York Times<\/em> Critics\u2019 Pick<\/strong>, launching a national sensation and leading to performances in more than 20 cities, including Los Angeles (The Music Center LA), Houston (Performing Arts Houston), and Ann Arbor (University Musical Society). Alongside initiatives such as SW!NG OUT One-to-One<\/strong> and the SW!NG OUT Community Fund<\/strong>, the production has reshaped the presence of Lindy Hop in the U.S. performing-arts landscape.<\/p>\n Teicher also offers Ear to the Ground<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, an intimate duo performance with celebrated percussive dancer Nic Gareiss.\u00a0<\/strong>Ear to the Ground<\/em> meets at the crossroads of jazz and folk, social and solo form\u2014playfully bridging tap, swing, lindy hop, Appalachian clogging, and Irish step dance\u2014braiding improvisation, song, and rhythm into a dynamic dialogue of sound and movement. The result is a moving, transportive performance that honors tradition while carving out a genre-defying percussive language all its own.<\/p>\n Other projects include Bzzz<\/em><\/strong>, a comedic music-theater work for tap dancers and world-champion beatboxers; and a slate of curatorial and directorial collaborations with organizations including the National YoungArts Foundation, 92NY, the Korean Cultural Center New York, and Lincoln Center.
