2024 also marks the year where the L\u00e9onie Sonning Music Prize will be awarded outside Copenhagen for the first time since 1990. This will occur at a large-scale award concert in Odense Concert Hall on Thursday, 30 May.<\/p>\n
One of the world\u2019s leading flautists, Emmanuel Pahud, will be awarded the L\u00e9onie Sonning Music Prize and the accompanying DKK 1,000,000 in 2024. Esben Tange, chairman of the L\u00e9onie Sonning Music Foundation, explains the background for the choice of next year\u2019s recipient:<\/p>\n
