Until now. The S\u00e3o Paulo Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, led by their Conductor of Honor <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opus3artists.com\/artists\/marin-alsop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Marin Alsop<\/a>, will play concerts at <a href=\"https:\/\/tickets.kauffmancenter.org\/20041?queueittoken=e_waitingroom3~q_7d07e689-be62-4b52-a57e-1e7dde0441a2~ts_1665073922~ce_true~rt_safetynet~h_36a8fe5ff08bf7a6a381fd43f2bfbd3c155d33bd13ab8e53f1d2e60849f687c9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kansas City MO&#8217;s Helzberg Hall<\/a> (October 10), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.strathmore.org\/events-tickets\/in-the-music-center\/sao-paulo-symphony-orchestra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">North Bethesda, MD&#8217;s Strathmore Music Center<\/a> (October 12) and on\u00a0 October 14 and 15, 2022, OSESP and will bring two entirely separate programs to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.carnegiehall.org\/calendar\/2022\/10\/14\/sao-paulo-symphony-orchestra-0800pm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York&#8217;s Carnegie Hall<\/a>. The concert on October 15 is a bold re-imagining of classical music programming. There will be individual movements by 8 different composers (Clarice Assad, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Philip Glass and Antonio Carlos Jobim among them), played without pause, extending 75 minutes without intermission. The music is accompanied by a dramatic montage of videos shot just a few weeks ago in the Amazon rainforest by Visual Director Marcello Dantas. The footage will be shown behind and surrounding the orchestra and chorus on the Carnegie Hall stage. The entire evening will be devoted to highlighting the stunning beauty and perilous fragility of the rainforest. It will be a truly magical evening, not to be missed.
