Yuja Wang wins Classic FM Gramophone "Young Artist of the Year" Award for 2009

One of Deutsche Grammophon’s most exciting new instrumentalists has just walked off with one of classical music’s most prestigious awards. 22-year-old pianist Yuja Wang – recently hailed by Gramophone magazine as “a very special talent” and “a wonderfully gifted and thoughtful musician, capable of both superb technical artistry and emotional reflection” – was named “Young Artist of the Year” at the Classic FM Gramophone Awards ceremony on 2 October 2009 in London.
