The KlangVerwaltung Orchestra Munich was founded in 1997 by violinists Andreas Reiner and Josef Kröner. Its unusual name: “KlangVerwaltung” translates literally as “sound administration”, expressing the Orchestra’s aim to perform great masterpieces whilst remaining faithful to their composers. The members of the KlangVerwaltung are drawn from leading orchestras, including the Vienna, Berlin and Munich Philharmonic Orchestras, and also include internationally renowned soloists and chamber musicians. The orchestra’s superlative technical prowess, chamber-music-like interaction, extraordinary soloist abilities, colorful sound and lively spirit have earned rave reviews from critics and audience members alike. The orchestra appears regularly at Europe’s major venues including Berlin Philharmonie, Vienna Musikverein, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, The Vatican, Alte Oper Frankfurt as well as festivals such as Rheingau, Gstaad, Beethoven-Fest Bonn and Herrenchiemsee where they are orchestra in residence every summer.
