American tenor John Nuzzo is quickly making a name for himself on the international opera scene.
This season, Mr. Nuzzo makes his debut at the Pittsburgh Opera as Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore. He recently appeared at the Metropolitan Opera as Rinuccio in Gianni Schicci and the Song Seller in Il Tabarro in a new production of Il Trittico, which was broadcast in HD in movie theaters around the world. Since his debut in 2000, Mr. Nuzzo has established a relationship with the Vienna State Opera. He has appeared in many productions including Il Trovatore, Stiffelio, Lucia de Lammermoor, L'Eliser d'amore, Gianni Schicchi and Billy Budd. For his participation in Billy Budd, he was awarded the 2000/2001 Eberhard Waecheter Medal, an artistic award given each year to 2 singers from the Austrian opera houses..
In concert, Mr. Nuzzo has been heard in the Berlioz Requiem with the NHK Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Charles Dutoit, a concert version of Fidelio with James Levine and the Munich Philharmonic, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra., and Bach's B minor Mass and Beethoven's Mass in C with the Master Chorale of Orange County.

Born in Tokyo, Mr. Nuzzo studied music at Chapman University in Southern California.
