American soprano, Alyson Cambridge, has been hailed by critics as "radiant, vocally assured, dramatically subtle and compelling, and artistically imaginative" (Washington Post). Her rich, warm soprano, combined with her strikingly beautiful stage presence and her affecting musical and dramatic interpretation, have brought her success on the opera stages of leading theatres in the United States as well as future debuts in Paris, Berlin, and other musical capitols in Europe and Asia. Her lyric soprano repertoire includes the roles of Mimi, Violetta, Liu, Manon, Marguerite, Donna Elvira, Contessa, and Micaëla, among others.

Ms. Cambridge's 2010-11 season includes two European debuts - first with Polish National Opera as Violetta in La traviata, then as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni with Savonlinna Opera Festival. Ms. Cambridge also returns to Lyric Opera of Kansas City as Micaëla in Carmen and to The Metropolitan Opera for La bohème. In November, she performs in a prestigious recital for the justices of the U.S. Supreme Court with tenor Matthew Polenzani.  Her work in concert this season begins with her debut with the National Symphony Orchestra at the J.F. Kennedy Center in a New Year's Eve Gala, followed by her Paris debut at the Festival de Saint-Denis in performances of Villa-Lobos's Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1 & 5, and performances of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Alabama Symphony. Highlights of the 2011-12 season include her debuts with Deutsche Oper Berlin as Donna Elvira, with Lyric Opera of Chicago as Giulietta in Les Contes d'Hoffmann and as Julie in Show Boat, and as with Hungarian National Opera as Mimi in La bohème.
